One of the greatest things about square dancing is that you can travel halfway around the world, walk into a dance hall where people speak a different language…and somehow “Square your sets!” still means the same thing! 
We’ve been incredibly blessed to travel around the world visiting square dance clubs and events, meeting wonderful people and making friendships that stretch across states, countries and even continents.
This time our travels brought us back to Germany 
for the Blitz und Donner Special, where we had an absolute blast dancing to Christian Sorge, Robert Milestad und Philipp Aff. Great calling, great dancing and LOTS of laughs!
And the square dance world really showed us just how small it is…
We got to dance again with our friends Andi and Marlies Bachsleitner, whom we first met thousands of miles away in Waco, Texas 
at the 75th National Square Dance Convention!
Meet in Texas…dance together again in Germany. 
You just never know where square dancing—or the friends you meet along the way—will take you next!
That’s one of the things I love most about this activity. Different countries, different languages, different cultures…but put eight dancers in a square, turn on the music and start calling, and suddenly we all speak the same language. 
Apparently the Brushy Mountain Squares traveling club is living up to its reputation.
Have square dance shoes…will travel!
